This section is devoted to providing information to SFHA members and nonmembers who wish to help in our effort to preserve horse trails, and accessibility to them, in the Bay Area.
The San Francisco Horsemen's Association is actively involved in the process of bringing horses back to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. We are also members of two advocacy organizations. First is ETRAC (Equestrian Trail Riders Action Committee) whose mission is to promote creation and maintenance of a comprehensive, regional trail system for equestrian trail riders on the San Francisco Peninsula.
And second is BABTT (Bay Area Barns and Trails) whose mission is to preserve the equestrian heritage in the ‘Great Outdoors of the San Francisco Bay Area’. BABTT provides financial support, networking and technical assistance to individual equestrians, coalitions, public and private landowners, land and trail trusts, and organizations.
